We had a great night at the Triumph Inspiration Awards UK held at Il Bottacio, London. As a judge I was looking for lingerie with a fashion edge and a great
colour pallet. Also, I was looking for the way the designs worked with a woman’s shape and, it had to be sexy, not necessarily provocative but it had to make a woman feel special when she was wearing it.
The competition on the night was very strong, and I was delighted to see so many talented designers emerging form Central Saint Martins and De Montford University. The winning design was by Isabella Newell, from Central Saint Martin’s. The design entitled, Circus Freaks, ticked all the boxes. It moved beautifully on the catwalk, it was sexy, the colours were fashionable and it captured the design brief from Triumph – Shape Sensation.
I’d like to thank everyone who took part for all their hard work; it was a very inspiring evening for me and, wish Isabella good luck in Triumph’s global final, which takes place in London this Autumn.
